The Ovulation Progesterone Blood Test measures the level of progesterone in the blood, which helps determine if and when ovulation has occurred. Progesterone is a hormone produced by the corpus luteum in the ovaries after an egg is released (ovulation). The test is often part of a fertility workup or evaluation of menstrual cycle irregularities. By measuring your progesterone level at day 21 of your menstrual cycle, our ovulation blood test can tell you whether you’re likely to have ovulated or not — an important first step in investigating your fertility.
