This time includes consultation, assessment, 20 minutes of application of topical anaesthetic, injection of dermal filler and aftercare advice.

Course or one off treatment?

One off

The treatment is a one off treatment.  We can add in once it is healed if you decided you want to go bigger and bolder, but otherwise your treatment is complete in one appointment.

Results are

Instant

You will see your finished look at the end of your treatment. You may be a little red, a little swollen or have a few small bruises but it shouldn't be anything too alarming.

Recovery time

0

There is no down time from this procedure. We have chosen our product as it causes such minimal swelling and discomfort.  We often have clients comment on how comfortable it is.

Duration of results

18 months

We only use premium products which have a longer than average lifespan.  This means you need to top up a lot less often than you would with a budget product.

Treatments per year

1

Most clients like to replenish lost volume every 18 months to keep their lines at bay and looking health and hydrated, although it takes much longer to fully return to its original look.

If you have an active coldsore

If you have a skin infection in the area you wish to treat

If you are allergic to any of the components within the filler

Aftercare for dermal fillers?

Apply cold compresses to the area for the next 24 hours to reduce and swelling you may have and prevent further bruising.

An anti-histamine can help if you have a lot of swelling present.

Protect your fillers from UV rays with sunscreen.  This helps them last much longer!!

Possible side effects of dermal fillers?

The risks of receiving dermal fillers are very small

when administered correctly by a suitably qualified practitioner (which we are).

You may experience some discomfort during the procedure.  We minimise this by using a

prescription grade anaesthetic numbing cream, and we only use fillers

with local anaesthetic combined. You may also experience

some redness, bruising or swelling at the injection site.  We have specifically chosen our

brand of fillers because it leaves minimal swelling and discomfort.

Uncommon side effects are:

Infection at the injection site.  We minimise this risk by making sure the filler is injected aseptically.

Vascular occlusion.  This is where a blood vessel becomes blocked with filler. As nurses we

have extensive anatomy and physiology knowledge and are aware of all the areas that pose a risk.

We are prepared to treat this should the need arise.

Very rarely serious complications can occur, such as serious allergic reaction.

We are prepared to help you should this situation arise.

Both really good and make you feel really at ease as well.  Would definitely recommend them both.

Chin and Jaw filler

As we age we lose bone density and the jaw bone shrinks, causing us to lack definition in the lower face.  The jaw and chin can soften and lose itself, blending into the neck.  This can make the chin appear weak, and can give the illusion of a double chin.

Using a high density filler can mimic bone loss and sharpen up the jawline, stretching out excess skin to differentiate it from the neck.  The result is slimming and marionette lines can be corrected by stretching out the lose skin.  Wrinkles and folds are pulled back out and the result is a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Chin fillers are perfect for balancing facial profiles and correcting the appearance of an underbite.  Bringing the chin in line with the lips elongates the jaw so the underbite is not visible.  The jaw can be built up further to make it appear strong and more masculine, a very desirable look for men.
