Hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) can be debilitating for those who suffer from severe symptoms. If traditional treatments such as antihistamines, nasal sprays, and eye drops are ineffective, a prescription-only Triamcinolone Acetonide injection may be an option.

This time includes consultation, assessment, an opportunity to ask questions, administration of your hay fever treatment injection which will be in your buttock and an observation period.
Course or one off treatment?
One off
Our hay fever treatment should last all season for you. For people who have extensive pollen allergies it is possible to provide a second injection later in the season.
Results in
2-3 days
This injection is absorbed very quickly and within a few days it will reduce your bodies immune response to pollen.
Recovery time
Nil
This is a very simple injection and there is no recovery time. You may have a small ache in the muscle for a few hours, but it shouldn't interfere with your normal activities.
Duration of results
12 months
Most people only need one injection to last them through the season. A person who has multiple allergies may need a second injection when the first wears off if they have multiple pollen allergies. It is not possible to exceed 2 injections per year.

Generally one injection is considered sufficient. In very rare circumstances a second may be required later in the season.
What is Triamcinolone Acetonide?
Triamcinolone Acetonide is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation caused by allergic reactions, such as hay fever. It works by suppressing the immune system’s response to allergens, providing long-lasting symptom relief.
Who may benefit?
This treatment may be considered for individuals who:
✔ Experience severe hay fever symptoms that disrupt daily life
✔ Have not responded to conventional treatments (antihistamines, nasal sprays, etc.)
✔ Are medically assessed as suitable for steroid treatment
⚠️ Who cannot have this treatment?
This injection is NOT suitable for individuals who:
❌ Are pregnant or breastfeeding
❌ Have diabetes, osteoporosis, or certain immune disorders
❌ Have an active infection
❌ Are on certain medications that interact with steroids
A full medical consultation with a prescriber is required before treatment can be administered.
