14 days

The toxin works slowly and doesn't reach its full potential for 14 days.  You will not see a significant difference overnight, it will be a series of small, gradual improvements.

Recovery time

0

There is no down time from this procedure. The injection sites may be red for a small amount of time, but this normally resolves very quickly.

Duration of results

3-4 months

If you are new to toxins your first treatment may only last for around 12 weeks, however if you continue to have the area treated the results will continue to improve and will last longer.

Aftercare for anti wrinkle injections

You will not see a change straight away.  It takes about 2 to 3 days to start working

Do not massage or rub your face for 3 days, or have a facial..

Avoid vigorous exercise, sunbathing (including using sun beds), and the sauna for 2 days.

Effects usually last for about 3 or 4 months.

If you have botulinum toxin injections again, you should wait at least 12 weeks.

Possible side effects of anti wrinkle injections?

The risks of receiving botulinum toxin injections are very small

when administered correctly by a suitably qualified practitioner (which we are).

You may experience redness, bruising or a small swelling at the injection site.

Some people may develop a headache and flu-like symptoms for the first 24 hours.

Uncommon side effects are:

A frozen look – you might not be able to move the muscles in your face if too much botulinum toxin is

injected, which is why we top up over the two sessions if higher doses are required.

Temporary drooping of an eyelid or eyebrow if the botulinum toxin moves into these muscles.

Our toxin of choice has very little migration in comparison to others, so this is extremely unlikely.

Very rarely serious complications can occur, such as serious allergic reaction.

We are prepared to help you should this situation arise.

I was a bit reluctant to have botox but my partner persuaded me to have it as she had great results herself. I had two areas treated (frown lines and crows feet) and I'm very pleased with the results, a big difference in my fine lines and wrinkles. I'll definitely be a returning customer. Very friendly service and made me feel relaxed during the procedure.

Bunny lines

Bunny lines are the diagonal or vertical lines that appear on either side of the nose, and fan out from the inner corner of the eye.

They are caused by a muscle called the nasalis, which spans the bridge of your nose, and you can make them more visible by scrunching up your eyes and nose or squinting.

Whilst many people think these lines are cute, they can be a tell tale sign that you have anti-wrinkle injections in your upper face.  When you are unable to move your usual facial muscles to express yourself, other muscles overcompensate. The nasalis is a common muscle that becomes overactive in this situation.
